Within the official visit of H.E. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte in Vietnam, a series of events were organized with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations between Italy and Vietnam.
On 5th June, the Director of AICS Hanoi Dr. Martino Melli took part in the official ceremony offered by Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. After that, the conference of “The Italian technologies for Vietnam’s smart and circular economy” was held with the presence of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. Dr. Martino Melli was in charge of moderating the panel of “Sustainable Economy, Mobility, Energy & Infrastructure” by providing an overview of AICS’s activities on these issues.
During the first day of the official visit, a solemn official reception was also organized by the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of Italian Republic Day. During the event, AICS Hanoi organized an exhibition entitled: “Research strategies for Safeguarding the Archeological Complexes in the Mekong Region”. Dr. Melli was able to illustrate to the Prime Minister the didactic demonstration panels, as well as the activities of the initiative financed by AICS within the framework of the project “Vocational training center for restoration and conservation of cultural heritage”, which has been implemented by the Politecnico di Milano / Lerici Foundation.
On 6th June, after the opening of the High Level Summit on Italy-ASEAN economic relations organized by The European House – Ambrosetti, H.E. Prime Minister of Italy visited Casa Italia, the AICS’s headquarter. During the visit, Dr. Melli was honored to give some publications produced by the Italian Cooperation to the Prime Minister.
